An assortment of photos from Broome and the general Kimberley area.

The view from the verandah of the pilots rooms at Cadjebut mine site.

The weather radar at Broome as the eye of Cyclone Sam crossed the coast just over 100KM away.

Approaching Broome several days after Cyclone Sam had passed - lots of low cloud around!
The propeller isn't actually stopped - it's just the camera taking a picture at around 1/1500th of a second!

Flying past the St George Ranges, just near where we start our descent into Cadjebut.

Ah - the wet season - these are all VERY small thunderstorms though!

One thunderstorm in action as we approach Cadjebut. Cadjebut Mine - most of it is underground so this is all you see! Poor mans swimming pool - our back yard after a few afternoon thunderstorms!

Modern housing in Broome! All made with 'designer' corrugated iron!

It's a hard life for some up here!
