Between Christmas and New Year's Day 1995/6
some friends and I decided we'd climb the highest mountain in
Australia. Mt Kosciusko is situated in the Snowy Mountains in the
South East of Australia and is about 2444 metres high. Taking the
shortest track it's a 16km walk each way and it took us about 8
hours in total!!!
Here we are about half way up looking towards
the top!
We found some snow so we had to have the
obligatory fight! Here's Ken on the receiving end!
YES! After much complaining, blisters and
sunburn we finally made it. Here's myself, Ken, Katy and Liz on
the top of Australia!!
What do you do when you get to the top??? You
rest before you have to walk back again!!!!!
